The app

VintageRestorer is an AI-powered software application for restoring old personal and family photos. You upload a photo, our app processes it through third-party AI models, and you receive a restored image preview. Paid orders unlock the full HD result for download. All processing is automated and machine-only — no human-performed services are involved.

Eligibility

This service is intended for users aged 16 and over. If you are under 16, do not use this service without a parent or guardian. By using VintageRestorer you confirm you meet this requirement.

Roles: service provider vs Merchant of Record

VintageRestorer (operated by Andrii Bondar) is the service provider — we run the software, the AI pipeline, and customer support. Payments are handled by Lemon Squeezy acting as the Merchant of Record. That means Lemon Squeezy is the seller of record on your receipt, collects and remits VAT/sales tax on our behalf, and is your counterparty for the payment contract. Their Terms and Privacy Policy apply to the payment portion of your transaction in addition to ours.

Pricing and delivery

The price of a single-photo restoration is listed at checkout in DKK with an approximate USD/EUR equivalent for convenience. VAT or local sales tax is calculated and shown by Lemon Squeezy before you confirm payment. Delivery is digital and immediate: after successful payment the HD download link is emailed to the address you provided at checkout, and is also accessible on the result page in your browser for a limited time.

EU consumer rights and 14-day withdrawal

Under EU consumer law, you normally have a 14-day right of withdrawal for digital purchases. This right is lost once performance has begun with your express prior consent. By initiating checkout and upload you expressly request immediate performance — the AI pipeline starts and processing credits are consumed at that point — and you acknowledge that you lose the 14-day withdrawal right once processing starts. This does not affect your statutory rights regarding defective goods or services.

Separately from any statutory right, we offer a voluntary 24-hour refund if you are not happy with the result — see the refund policy. This goodwill refund is in addition to, not a replacement for, any mandatory consumer protection.

Your content

You must own, control, or have permission to upload any photo you submit. If a photo contains recognizable people, you are responsible for having the rights and consent needed to process it. You retain full ownership of both originals and restored versions. We never use your photos for training, advertising, or any purpose other than fulfilling your order.

Refunds

If you're not satisfied with the result, contact us within 24 hours of purchase for a full refund. See our refund policy for details.

Prohibited content

By uploading a photo you warrant that you own it, control it, or have the rights and consent needed to process it. You may not upload:

• Illegal content of any kind.
• Sexual or sexually suggestive content, especially involving minors. Photos of minors require parental consent.
• Copyrighted material or trademarks you do not have rights to, or content that violates third-party rights.
• Photos of public figures, celebrities, or any identifiable person without their permission.
• Content intended for deepfakes, face swaps, impersonation, deception, misleading likeness edits, or unrestricted synthetic image generation.

Violating uploads are deleted immediately, the account/order may be banned, and serious violations may be reported to the relevant authorities.

Abuse and IP infringement reporting

If you believe content processed through VintageRestorer infringes your rights or violates these Terms, email us at hello@vintagerestorer.app with the subject line Abuse report or IP takedown.

For IP takedown requests (DMCA-style), include: (1) identification of the copyrighted work or trademark, (2) description of the allegedly infringing content and the order or URL where it appears, (3) your contact info, (4) a statement made in good faith that the use is not authorised, and (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you are the rights owner or authorised to act on their behalf.

We aim to acknowledge reports within 24 hours and remove confirmed infringing or abusive content within 48 hours. Confirmed violations result in deletion, order revocation without refund, and may be reported to law enforcement.

Liability

Service is provided "as is". We are not liable for any artistic or color choices made by the AI model, or for any consequence of using the restored images. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under mandatory law.

Complaints

If you have a complaint about the service, write to hello@vintagerestorer.app and we will respond within 30 days. EU consumers can also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. For data-protection complaints, see the Danish data protection authority Datatilsynet at datatilsynet.dk.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of Denmark, excluding its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes are subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the Danish courts, except where mandatory consumer protection law gives EU consumers the right to bring proceedings in the consumer's own country of residence.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
